For over 25 years, the Florida Local Government Finance Program (FLGFP) has been providing local governments with a flexible, low cost financing alternative. The loan program is intended to offer participants a more flexible, efficient and time saving means of borrowing money. Once a participant has been approved for entry into the loan program, it is quick and easy way to borrow.
Through a partnership with NACo, Nationwide Retirement Solutions (NRS), and FAC, Florida counties can offer employees access to this premier Section 457 Deferred Compensation Program.

   

The Short Term Bond Fund portfolio structure is designed to add value over short term alternatives such as money market funds, while maintaining safety of principal and liquidity. The Day to Day Fund is a money market product created in January 2009 in response to demand for a fiscally conservative diversification option for Florida local governments.
FAC has partnered with the Florida League of Cities to offer bundled coverages to counties and municipalities. Through the Florida Municipal Insurance Trust (FMIT), counties can get Property Insurance and Workers’ Compensation coverage.
The Cooperative Fleet Bid Awards program enables competitive discount pricing for administrative vehicles, pursuit and non-pursuit vehicles, sport-utility vehicles, light, medium and heavy-duty trucks, passenger vans, ambulances (types I, II, II), rescue vehicles, fire trucks, tractors, backhoes and motor graders.

In 2017, the Florida Association of Counties (FAC) presented an award to Charlotte County for participating in multiple cost savings programs. Charlotte County was one of only three counties to utilize eight of FAC's programs, the highest participation at the time.
