U.S. Communities Saves Counties Money in the War on Opioid Overdoses
Governor Rick Scott recently directed the Florida Surgeon General to issue a standing order for Naloxone to ensure that first responders across the state have immediate access to treat opioid overdoses. County governments can purchase Naloxone and a nasal spray version called NARCAN at discounts up to 40% through the U.S. Communities Government Purchasing Alliance. NARCAN is the only FDA-approved, needle-free version of the overdose antidote.
